As the organization grows and reaches its peak period there is a dire need of primary and support to be incorporated in such a way that the varying needs of stakeholders may be appeased. In a nutshell, an effective Procurement manager holds quite a number of responsibilities in the organization; this will include preparations and monitoring of Company logistics, Quality Assurance, analyzing and preventing fraudulent transactions and a generalist in general management in Particular.

This  program  is  meant  to  equip  procurement  professionals,  those  involved  in  procurement  and  asset  disposal  process  including  accounting officers with requisite knowledge for the implementation of the public procurement and asset disposal law.

Learning Outcomes:

  • How  to  establish  appropriate  procurement  strategies,  policies,  structures and processes within your organization inline with the PPAD Act 2015,
  • How to meet the compliance and reporting obligations under the PPAD Act 2015,
  • How to ensure effective implementation of procurement plans and processes to  achieve the objectives of public sector procurement,
  • Have  practical  knowledge  of  procurement methods applicable  under  the  PPAD  Act 2015,
  • Appreciate the requirements for monitoring and controlling assets and property
  • Undertake and factor in risk in public procurement and asset disposal,
  • How to achieve the accountability and fairness standards in public procurement  processes.
  • A clear understanding of the principles of effective public procurement, the generic procurement process and the role of corporate and transactional procurement.
  • The capability to plan, implement and evaluate a sourcing process appropriate to the value/risk of the category being procured.
  • Knowledge of what rules and procedures govern privet, public procurement – and why they exist.
  • Communication and Negotiation Skills to improve the communication, negotiation and personal professional development skills required by those involved in advanced level procurement.
  • To manage the evaluation, contract development, and contract administration process associated with advanced level.
  • Detecting Fraud and Corruption in Public Procurement and privet sectors as well as establishing and implementing whistle-blowing procedures.
